Organizing Upgrade is providing a space where radical organizers who are rooted in long-term organizing work in poor and working class communities and communities of color can dialogue about our work to build relationships with the Occupy movement. We need to develop a vision for the development of a more united movement and strategize on lifting up the voices and issues of our communities as a vital part of this broader movement. We want to learn from each other, to challenge the Occupy movement and to challenge ourselves to grow into the broad-ranging, strategic and representative movement that we need so desperately. Each week, Organizing Upgrade poses a different strategic question, and organizers post “Field Reports” in response. Then Organizing Upgrade editors will summarize the responses and pose a new question. We are Organizing Together!
